The Tonkawa District formerly known as the Abilene District is located in West Central Texas and is landlocked by the United States. Tonkawa is named after the Tonkawa Indians who used to reside in this area and for the Tonkawa Mountains (aka Callahan Divide) which forms the Southern border. The capitol of Tonkawa is Abilene.
